Jason has taught classroom music, directed choirs and instrumental ensembles with students from early childhood to secondary levels. He currently serves in the position of Vice-Chair of ASME WA. Jason is a National Council Member of the Kodaly Music Education Institute of Australia and co-founded the Western Australian Branch in 2010, where he currently serves as Branch President. He also serves as a committee member of the Western Australian Orff Schulwerk Assocation. Jason has worked as a consultant for distance music education programs, a pre-service teacher mentor and presented as music education in-service workshops. He is committed to expanding his professional knowledge through further study and is an active member of all major Australian music education associations.
